Bidwai is one of South Asia\u2019s most widely published columnists, and occasionally contributes to the <i>Guardian<\/i>, <i>Le Monde diplomatique<\/i> and <i>il manifesto<\/i>. He is a long-standing fellow of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a former senior editor of <i>The Times of India<\/i>. Bidwai has held academic positions at home and abroad, including membership of the Indian Council for Social Science Research, the Indian Central Advisory Board on Education, and the National Book Trust, India. He has co-authored or contributed to several books on political economy, sustainable development, science and technology, North-South relations, and security. His latest book is <i>An India That Can Say Yes: A Climate-Responsible Development Agenda for Copenhagen and Beyond<\/i> (Heinrich B\u00f6ll Stiftung India, 2009). Bidwai is a founder-member of the Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace, India. He received the Sean MacBride International Peace Prize from the International Peace Bureau. Bidwai read science and technology, philosophy and economics at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and later pursued development studies. Bidwai is on the Board of Trustees of the Dag Hammarskj\u00f6ld Foundation in Uppsala, Sweden, and the ETC Group in Ottawa, Canada.
