She started her professional life by doing field work in emergency situation (Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rwanda, Ex-Zaire) for more than 5 years working as program manager for NGOs and International Institutions. During a couple of years she worked as a mediator in an NGO bringing around the table multiple stakeholders working on the same issue.
