She is Professor of Workforce and Economic Development Policy at the University of Greenwich. A member of the Coordinating Committee of the Research Network Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies, a member of the Work and Employment Research Unit of the University of Greenwich, a research associate at the Political Economy Research Institute of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a fellow of the Global Labour University. Her research areas include globalization, crisis, distribution, employment, investment, development, and gender.     <\/p>\n

\u00d6zlem Onaran\u2019s research areas include globalization, crisis, income distribution, employment, investment, development, and gender. \u00d6zlem\u2019s research has recently focused on five issues: (1) the interaction of income distribution, demand, and growth, (2) financial crises and distributional consequences, (3) the effects of international trade and foreign direct investment on wages, employment, and investment, (4) the gender effects of international trade and economic crisis, (5) the effects of globalisation on the welfare states.<\/p>\n
