Willemijn studied International Relations and History at the Universities of London and Amsterdam and obtained her PhD in International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam. In her work she focuses on the relationship between development, conflict and peacebuilding and on the local-international dynamics of peace- and statebuilding intervention.
